Choosing the perfect duvet
There a number of things to consider when choosing the right duvet for your bed:
What tog rating should you have? Essentially this refers to how warm the duvet will be. A 1.5 tog is the coolest and rises to a 15 tog. You may need more than one duvet or choose one that you can adjust.
Which duvet filling is best? Duvet fillings vary in levels of insulation and weight. Synthetic duvets are hypoallergenic but made from plastic materials and therefore not environmentally friendly. Natural duvet fillings such as duck or goose feather have better thermal insulation than synthetic duvets.
What duvet size is best? Duvet sizes to choose from will often match the size of the bed or mattress you have. However, some people prefer a larger sized duvet to the mattress, particularly if it is a thick mattress to leave a good overhand and ensuring you are not fighting for duvet space.
